My general observation from speaking to law firm associates in New York and Florida is that junior associates are pissed about firms wanting them to return to the office.

They went virtual during law school and started their careers working virtually. They want to stay virtual and want to avoid having their attendance taken.

The more senior associates that remember the pre-covid days aren’t thrilled about RTO but are handling it much better.

And then there is the segment that nobody wants to talk about: the associates that want to be in the office as much as possible because they see the benefits of being there.
